WEAPONS
aka Things that Hurt
People
The inhabitants of the post-nuclear world can
be divided into two catagories: those who have good weapons, and
those who are killed by those who have good weapons. A good weapon
can literally mean the difference between life and death.

There aren't many throwing weapons in
Fallout. In fact, there are all of 7. And of the 7, only 3 are of any
use . . . small wonder that few people buy up their throwing
skill.
One thing you should remember about pulse
grenades: they do no damage to humans (or dogs). So it's safe to use
them in close quarters . . . unlike, say, plasma grenades.

A fairly standard grenade. It does a respectable
amount of damage, especially when the enemies are clustered
together. Don't try throwing one of these if the enemy is
standing beside you . . .

Any weapon that has been in use for as long as the
Molotov is worthy of a place in your inventory. The damage
isn't great, but they're still good little weapons.

Plasma Grenade

|
The most powerful throwing weapon capable of
affecting organic life forms. Similar to a frag grenade, but
it does more damage.

Pulse Grenade

Pulse grenades are designed to only be effective
against robots and the like, and they work very well. One
pulse grenade can take out four closely-grouped
robots.

There isn't much to say about these things . . . but
if you're reduced to using one as a weapon, you're in a
pretty sad state.
|
Odds are you've seen a rock before. And if you haven't . . .
you really need to get out more.

Spear

The spear isn't much better as a throwing weapon
than it was as a melee weapon . . . which is to say, it's
horrible.

Throwing knives, despite their lethal appearance, are
horrible weapons. Very low damage . . . I'd rather use a rock
than one of these things.
